Waffles are a main breakfast in our house, and these are the best!

  • 1 3/4 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 3/4 cups evaporated milk
  • 1/2 cup cooking oil

Add ins:
  • Chocolate or butterscotch chips
  • Cooked and crumbled bacon
  • Blueberries
  • Bananas


In a medium bowl, mix together flour, baking powder, and salt.  Make a well in the center of dry ingredients.  Set aside.  In another bowl, mix together eggs, milk, and oil.  Add egg mixture all at once to the dry mixture.  Stir just till moistened.  (Batter should be lumpy)  Pour 1 cup of batter onto greased and preheated waffle iron.  Add chips.  Close lid and bake approximately 4 minutes.  Make 4-6 10” waffles.
