Pecan Pie


  • Pie shell for 9″ pan
  • 1 1/2cup pecans
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 cup Karo, dark or light
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla


In bottom of pie shell pour 1 cup of pecans.

In a separate bowl, beat eggs, salt, sugar and syrup. Mix in 1/2 cup pecans. Fold in melted butter and vanilla.

Pour mixture into the pie shell over pecans.

Bake at 375 for 40-50 minutes until set and brown.

G.G. note: I cover my pie crust edges with foil so it won’t get too brown.
