Chicken Pasta in Tomato Cream Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1 lb cooked chicken, cut up
  • 1/2 cup green onions
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 envelope Alfredo sauce mix
  • 12 oz chopped mushrooms (optional)
  • 15 oz can tomatoes
  • salt & pepper
  • 1/4 cup parsley
  • 1 cup whipping cream
  • 2 Tablespoons dried basil
  • 1 lb pasta cooked (penne works well)
  • 1/2 cup parmesan cheese

Directions

Heat butter and oil in skillet.  Add chicken, onion and garlic.  Sauté until brown.  Stir in cream, alfredo sauce mix, mushrooms, tomatoes, salt and pepper.  Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer 5 minutes.  Stir in parsley and basil.  Toss with pasta.  Add parmesan cheese.  Enjoy!
