Chicken Pasta in Tomato Cream Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1 lb cooked chicken, cut up
  • 1/2 cup green onions
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 envelope Alfredo sauce mix
  • 12 oz chopped mushrooms (optional)
  • 15 oz can tomatoes
  • salt & pepper
  • 1/4 cup parsley
  • 1 cup whipping cream
  • 2 Tablespoons dried basil
  • 1 lb pasta cooked (penne works well)
  • 1/2 cup parmesan cheese

Directions

Heat butter and oil in skillet.  Add chicken, onion and garlic.  SautĂ© until brown.  Stir in cream, alfredo sauce mix, mushrooms, tomatoes, salt and pepper.  Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer 5 minutes.  Stir in parsley and basil.  Toss with pasta.  Add parmesan cheese.  Enjoy!
