Apple Cake with Rum Sauce

Mix well:

1 1/2cups oil

2 cups sugar


2 eggs

3 cups flour

1 teaspoon cinnamon

1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon baking soda

3 cups diced apples

1 cup nuts

2 teaspoons vanilla

Mix well, and then bake at 350 for 30-40 minutes.

Rum Sauce:

1 cube of butter

3/4 cups canned milk

1 cup sugar

Boil 5 minutes and then remove from heat. 

Add 1/2 teaspoons rum flavoring.

Cut cake and place on plate, pour rum sauce over just before serving.
