Ingredients
- 6 slices of bacon
- 1/2 cup sliced green onions
- 1/4 cup vinegar
- 4 teaspoons sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup water
- 8 cups leaf lettuce (torn into bite size pieces)
Directions
Cook bacon, and crumble. Brown green onions in bacon drippings. Add vinegar, sugar, salt and water to the bacon, drippings, and browned onions. Bring to a boil. Pour over lettuce while it is still hot. Toss to coat. Hint: Be careful when adding cool mixture to hot drippings.
