Dutch Oven Apple

3 cups quick oats

2 cups brown sugar

1 cup flour

1 teaspoon baking soda

2 teaspoons salt

1 cup butter

6-8 apples peeled, cored and sliced

2 teaspoons cinnamon

Mix together all but apples and cinnamon.  Set aside.  Mix apples and cinnamon, and put in the bottom of a Dutch oven.  Cover apples with the oat mixture. 

If using an oven:

Bake at 350 for 40 minutes.

If using charcoal:

Need 25 charcoals (7 for the top, and 18 underneath)

Every 15 minutes, turn the bottom a quarter turn, and the top a quarter turn the opposite directions.  Keep doing this for 45 minutes total.
