Chocolate Chip Cookies (Sarah Ann’s)

2 (4 oz) sticks butter

2/3 cup brown sugar

3/4 cup + 2 tablespoons granulated Sugar

2 eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla

3 cups + 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour

1 teaspoon baking soda

1/2 teaspoon salt

2 cups Chocolate Chips

Cream butter and sugars until well incorporated.

Add eggs and vanilla, mix well.

Add flour to mixture, sprinkling salt and baking soda on top, then mix until well incorporated.

Stir in chocolate chips.

Bake @ 350 for 10-12 minutes; until they are just beginning to brown in some places.

Hint: “Thwack” the cookie sheet before removing them from the oven to give them that yummy “tollhouse” look

Let cookies cool on cookie sheet for 2 minutes, then remove and cool on rack, if you can wait that long : )
