Peanut Butter Rice Krispie Bars

1 cup granulated sugar

1 cup corn syrup

1 cup peanut butter (creamy)

5 cup Rice Krispie Cereal

Icing:

1 1/2 cups chocolate chips

1 1/2 cups butterscotch chips

Melt sugar and corn syrup on the stove.  Bring to a boil for no longer than 1 minute.  Take OFF the stove and add the peanut butter.  In a bigger bowl measure out 5 cups of Rice Krispie cereal.  Add the peanut butter mixture.  Stir well.  Put mixture into a 9 x13 pan and press down till smooth and even to the edges of pan.

Melt the chocolate chips and butterscotch chips in a microwave safe bowl 1 minute at a time.  Stir after each minute in the microwave.  When they are completely melted, spread on top of Rice Krispie bars.  Chill to harden the icing or go ahead and eat!

These bars are so good and it is yet another food that I must use self-control with or no one else would get to eat any.
