Caramels (Creamy)

I love these especially at Christmas.  They are so tasty, and cute in there wrappers.


Ingredients & Directions

  • Cook 2 cups of sugar and 1 cup of white Karo for 10 minutes. 
  • Then add 1 cup of Half and Half slowly so that boiling doesn’t stop. 
  • Cook 5 minutes more and add 1/3 cup butter, again slowly so that boiling never stops. 
  • Cook to hard ball stage. 
  • Gently stir in 1/4 teaspoon salt and 1 teaspoon vanilla. 
  • Let set 10 minutes.  Turn into greased square pan. 
  • Let mixture set until cool. 
  • Cut and wrap.
